Xenía, by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba

“Hospitality is the crossroad of journeys”

 

the poet Edmond Jabès said in “Le livre de l’hospitalité”, suggesting the possibility of blending the concepts of hospitality and journey. This synthesis is properly expressed by the Ancient Greek word Xenía.

 

The new eumenes collection of folding chairs was designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba. The inspiration comes from a reflection on the contemporary society and its need for mobility without dismissing elegance and comfort.

 

Xenía is the perfect companion of the contemporary citizen in the universe of his everyday life. Its welcoming seat and fine textiles speak of home and interior furnishing (living, kitchen, occasional seating). At the same time, its outdoor materials and practical folding structure allow to enjoy it in outside settings (garden, terrace, poolside). Its «nomadic» and relaxing nature is revealed by the large pockets found on both sides of Xenía.

 

In line with eumenes philosophy, Xenía can be customized according to personal tastes and needs. By freely choosing colors and textiles of each part of the product (basement, seat and back-rest cushion, armrests), more than 600 combinations can be created.
